Getting legally married in Queens
Queens weddings follow the New York City marriage-license process. Couples can begin through the City Clerk's Project Cupid system and should review the City Clerk's current appointment, identification and fee requirements.
New York generally requires the license to be issued more than 24 hours before the ceremony unless a court grants a waiver. The license is ordinarily valid for 60 days. Bring it to the ceremony and review it with your officiant before the ceremony begins.
